The Merry Widow may be most popular operetta of all time. Now it comes to Dicapo in a sparkling new production that celebrates the 100th anniversary of it’s premiere in New York! The bustling cafés, the glamorous dancing girls, and the romance of the waltz come together to create the vivid world of Parisian society. This Merry Widow celebrates a traditional performance using the English lyric translation from the 1907 American Premiere while connecting with a modern New York audience with Wendy Wasserstein’s acclaimed translation of the dialogue.
